Anyone care to talk about their interpretations of just what the heck was going on in the latest episode of JFC? I know this all seems to be building toward something (I hope anyway), but what is going on? Seriously? Between Al Bundy and his prophetic bird, Sissy's endless amount of anger, Mitch's absence from the episode, Shawnny's poor acting, and the Deadwood retreads' bizzare dialouge, I don't know what to think.
Not a current show so probably not much buzz here by HBO standards, but I just finished watching Season 4 of "The Wire" and I can't get over how great that show is. It might be the best drama series I've ever seen.
Each time I recommend it to someone, I find myself backing off a bit because it's not an easy show to follow. Some people won't have the patience or interest to get deep into it.
I hear that the last season will start in September and I can't wait.
Upon further inspection, I have learned that the restaurant in question was not the one in my neighborhood, but rather a similar one in Stevenson Ranch.
The same actress, Branka Katic, was on a recent episode of Entourage, playing the hot-stuff wife of the potential movie financier, who tries to seduce Vince.
Perhaps not coincidentally, Katic is married to a guy who directs lots and lots of episodic television for HBO, including episodes of - you guessed it - Entourage and Big Love. Funny how that works.

I would say that the waitress was:
a) not middle-aged, but rather in her early or mid 30s
b) she was not unattractive
The waiters and waitresses at that restaurant all tend to be in their 20s. And the place is actually slightly more trendy than it seemed.
She is listed in the IMDB as being 37. You can judge for yourself if that is "middle-aged."
Please say no!
