The Open Chat thread is on my RSS Feed, but doesn't show up on the main page.

Weird.

2 I could tell you, but it would violate the "No-spoiler" policy. But, as another great show would say...

"The truth is out there."

There's a good line in the current Time or Newsweek (I get both, so I mix them up) about the summer movies this year. It enumerates some (Potter 5, Pirates 3, Shrek 3 (4?), etc., and then says, "if you're looking forward to these, you're twelve."

"Lost" isn't on for another hour, so leave spoilers at the door, por favor.

Well, at least Friday Night Lights was really good again.

Lost was another great episode last nite.

FNL--I've just about lost all interest in that show. I liked the previous episodes that seemed to build up throughtout the football season. But now, it seems like the writers have abandoned that focus, and instead are writing each episode as if its one separate issue. Last two weeks was racism, now its teen pregnancy...Doesnt seem to be much continuity. Real After-school special-esque...Also, they lost me when they started throwing in social commentary like Iraq, Racism, Teen Pregnancy, Mayor being a lesbian..

Just stuff you dont associate with Texas HS football..and isnt that what the show is supposed to be about?

I'll be surprised if it gets picked up for next season. The people that tune in to watch a show about mainly football...probably are tuning out. And the people that never gave it a chance bc they thought it was specifically about just football..probably never tuned in to begin with.

8. I don't remember any teens being pregnant last night, what show were you watching? As for things not associated with Texas High School football, racism was a pretty big issue in the book Friday Night Lights, so it was bound to be brought up in the series. The show is about life in a small Texas town, which primarily revolves around football, but does involve other things. As for not being picked up next year, the ratings were pretty bad to begin with and while still not good, it doesn't appear that they have lost too many viewers, although if they have, it is just as likely that they lost them by going up against American Idol as anything else.

Lost was so bad last night that I can see why someone like you who is eager to disagree with anyone just for the sake of disagreement would say they liked it.

I'm not sure why you'd think Lost was bad.

I find Jack, Ben, and Juliet to be the strongest and most compelling characters and they were featured prominently last nite. I dont find the other people on the island that interesting.

The backstory of Jack and that tattoos was a little weird, but the central triangle of Jack, Juliet, and Ben..and whom will betray whom...is compelling TV IMO.

10. I find pretty much all of the characters on Lost boring now, they may be interesting compared to the other characters, but that is like saying Luis Gonzales's contract is reasonable compared to Juan Pierre's. But any episode that has a lot of Kate is dragged down even more.
