So now that I finally have DVR, which shows should I attempt to jump in on?
I already watch 24, The Office, and Scrubs religiously and have given Studio 60 its fair shot. Is there anything else my life will not be complete without? (Keep in mind that some shows can be caught up with by a certain web site that shall not be divulged unless asked explicitly)
I just don't get Veronica's obsession with Logan. Poor Piz (which is a very strange sentence). Yay for Mac, though.
Having been a grad student in the sciences, I'm kind of ticked at Veronica for not turning in Monkey!Boy. Fine if he wants to ruin his own shot at a PhD, but taking his colleague along with him? Not cool.
I have been extremely pleased with the first two episodes of the second season of Extras on HBO. I found both way better than the first season. More Stephen Merchant!!!
6- Kristen Bell is a veggie and a huge animal lover, and this episode seemed to be inspired by that. She was named world sexiest Vegetarian by PETA or someone like that. No way she would give back the animal at the end.
As for the backsliding, I loved when Piz gave her his big romantic undercurrent talk and then she went running to Logan. That is real life, the guy who likes the girl usually ends up convincing her to go with someone else. Besides, long time relationships aren't really over until there are replacements. It is like computer memory, nothing is deleted until something else is saved over it. However, Veronica at least seemed to notice that Piz was pizzed off.
The 71 letters, collected into 12 words, appears to make "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" the longest title of a film ever nominated for an Oscar. In the fiction category, it easily topples the 54 letters of "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" and in the land of docs, edges out the 65-letter "Forever Activists: Stories from the Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade" from 1990.
10 - It was kind of lame that the big cliffhanger before the long holiday break was Logan and Veronica breaking up and then they get back together at the end of the first episode. I like Piz, but I wish that Wallace was in every episode. Piz is a more useful character dramatically, because he is a potential romantic interest, but Wallace has been there since the glory days. At least Duncan is off the show, his baby abduction story arc was one of the low points.
Did anyone notice that Weevil had a bad break out in the one scene he had with Keith? Combined with the fact that he has gotten a spare tire, Francis Capra seems to be playing against all Hollywood expectations. I suggest working out to try and supplement his 15 seconds a week on Veronica Mars.
I'm still at 9:15 pm DVR time.
But it was no big deal. I'm happy for Mac though. Even a PETA-type guy has to be better than Beaver.

9 - agreed - especially about Piz, except I just feel like the Logan well has been dipped into once too many times. I've lost count.
Plus, my secret website has Heroes on it but not Friday Night Lights :)

The movie and the TV series have very little to do with each other.
Woo hoo!
